This Mayan Riviera kitesurfing rentals center is located in the middle of Xpu-Ha Bay. The entrance to the Xpu-Ha bay is right after you pass Xpu-Ha Palace Resort. It is a narrow dirt road. The Free Style center gives instructions for all levels of kitesurfing, organizes clinics and packages including logging. You can rent gear or buy all you need. Kites, Boards, and Harnesses are in stock and on display. Mayan Riviera Kitesurfing Rentals price: (Rental available only if you can ride upwind. They will test you before renting anything to you.) 1 hour - US$20 Kitesurfing Lessons: Group lessons including equipment 1 hour – US $85 Group lessons including equipment 3 hours – US $225 Group lessons including equipment 6 hours – US $395 Add $25 to make the lesson private.
You can buy your kitesurfing equipment. The gear packages including kite, lines, bar, pump, bag, T-shirt and 2 hours of instructions starts from US $1200. Add US $150 to get a harness.
WINDSURFING: To rent a windsurfer you will have to go all the way to Cancun or you could try your luck in Playa del Carmen. In Cancun, the Windsurfing center (Club Mistral) is east of Isla Mujeres Ferry, along the main road. In past years, you could also find some quality equipment on the main beach of Playa del Carmen. However, it has not been very reliable. Some of the hotels, have one or two good sails and boards, but most have some old junk that they claim as windsurfing equipment; so before you leave your gear at home call the hotel’s water sports desk and double check.
IKARUS KITEBOARDING SHOP The shop is located on the 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. Here you can buy kitesurfing gear and book lessons that take place at one of several beaches near by.
EXTREME CONTROL Extreme Control centers are located in Tulum on the beach of Playa Azul beach and Playa el Paraiso beach. They offer introduction lessons every day at 12:30 p.m. You can also buy gear at their location. They offer a deal if you get the gear and lessons with them.
There are a few kitesurfing centers on Cozumel island. The two biggest are Kite Cozumel and Cozumel Kiteboarding. KITE COZUMEL: Kite Cozumel is located at the northern tip of the island. The owner is a local guy who is a world champion and Olympic windsurfer. 
Kitesurfing Rental: 1 day (full gear rental) –US $150 1 day( kite only) –US $100 1 day (board only) –US $50 1 day (harness only) –US $20 All rentals require Level 3 IKO/PASA certification and a credit card deposit. Kitesurfing Lessons: From $150 USD to $250 USD for 2 or 3 hour classes.
COZUMEL KITEBOARDING Located at Puro Mar Surf-Kite-Bikini Store on Cozumel island. You can buy you equipment here as well as sign-up for the courses and tours. Price for the 3 day course US$1200. 3 hours course is US$299.
