Here is some info on Puerto Rico windsurfing rentals and lessons as well as kitesurfing rentals and lessons: VELAUNO Velauno is the leading windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing shop in the San Juan metro area. It is located at Punta Las Marķas. (2430 Calle Loiza). The staff speaks both Spanish and English. Windsurfing rental 1 day $75 US Windsurfing Lessons: 2 hour basics - $100 1 hour private lesson (Beginner to Advanced) - $50 Kitesurfing rental (Board and Harness only)
1 day $40 US 1 week $130 US (Bring your own kite or get ready to buy a kite from the shop; they do not rent kites.) Kitesurfing courses: 2 hour course - $150 US
There are a few more rental shops on the island: El Rincon shop is in the Aguadilla area (703 Belt Rd., Ramey), Trade Winds shop operates in Salinas (Bo. Playa A 131) and Hi-wind Center & Surf Shop is in the town of Lajas further west of Guanica (Lajas, P.R. 00667).
